Elmbrook School is a pupil referral unit and provides education to children who have been permanently excluded, or are at risk of that happening, from their mainstream school.

Admission to a PRU place at Elmbrook is made through referral to the school via the SEMH team within Leicester City Council. Schools wishing to make a referral should discuss this with their SEMH link in the first instance. Referrals can also be made by the LCI team.

Elmbrook School also has 16 places within our specialist provision, for children who have Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP) for SEMH and communication and interaction needs. Admission to these places is made through the Special Education Service at Leicester City Council.
